"A Vixen's Love"

"Chapter Two"

"A New Life Unfolds"

"Excuse me, sir?" Said a fuzzy sounding voice trying to wake the sleeping teen. Bryan woke up to see a flight attendant lightly nudging his shoulder.

"W.. What's the matter miss?" He asked rubbing his eyes.

"We've arrived at Haneda." She told him

Bryan's eyes opened wide as he quickly sat up in his chair.

"We're... here?" He asked the woman. She nodded.

"I slept through the entire flight?" He asked her as well. She nodded again as she spoke.

"I'm surprised myself. You even slept through our refueling back at L.A.X.. You must have been really tired to sleep for twelve hours straight."

Bryan shook his head, amazed that he had slept for so long.

"Yeah, I guess so." he said with a sly chuckle.

The flight attendant walked away as Bryan placed his laptop back in it's case and left the plane.

When he entered the airport, he was overwhelmed by how big it was. It could fit at least two football fields in it. Haneda was a very modern looking airport, with cream colored flooring, white and silver paneled walls and a black paneled ceiling. There were little shops where people could find refreshments on the right wall and ticketing booths on the left wall. And unlike Sky Harbor, Haneda was bustling with people. Trying to walk through everyone was pretty difficult, but manageable.

One thing that Bryan noticed is that, contrary to his previous thoughts before the move, it seemed that Japan was very user friendly to people who didn't know or speak Japanese. Like the little shops, for example, had the name of the store in Japanese writing on the left and then the name of it in English right next to it. This eased his thoughts on not being able to function properly within Japan.

After walking around Haneda for half an hour he finally found the exit out of terminal one. It was a gray day in Japan, not a lick of sunlight in sight. Bryan didn't mind it though, he loved gray stormy days, they made a normal day to him seem more peaceful and relaxing.

He began to walk out when he thought of something.

"Wait... How am I supposed to get to my new house?"

He pondered for a minute before seeing a payphone with two phone books, one for the Japanese and one for the English, a few feet to his right. Then he saw a digital clock just above it with the time and date on it. It said that it was 1:24 p.m. on Sunday, October 19th, 2008. As soon as he saw the time and date the jet lag hit him like a ton of bricks. It seemed to him that, only a short time ago before he fell asleep, it was Saturday morning, but it was now mid Sunday. He knew that it would take some time to get used to the sudden change of time.

Bryan knew that his house was about thirteen miles from the airport. He didn't have a problem walking there, but he didn't know how he would manage to find his house since he had no whereabouts of Shinjuku.

After a minute, he decided to see if he could call a cab to take him to his new living quarters. He walked up to the payphone and grabbed the English version. As soon as he opened the book up, an add for an English cab service popped up. He had his cell phone on him and began to dial the number and call up a cab.

After a few minutes he had a cab heading for the entrance of terminal one to pick him up. He told the manager of the cab service business a short description of what he looked like. The manager then gave the cab driver he had sent out that same description, so he would know who to look for. To pass the time, he decided to step outside and get some air, and think of how life was going to be in Japan for him. When he walked outside, he noticed that the gray skies above him had become darker. There was a mild sprinkle of rain drops, but that didn't stop Bryan from leaning against the side of an enclosed bus stop. He looked around at his surroundings and was amazed at how beautiful it was compared to where he used to live back in Arizona. The biggest difference was that Japan seemed to be a lot greener than Arizona, with there being about ten times the amount of trees and other types of plants.

Even with all the differences from the two locations, one big difference was the air. In Arizona, since it was a desert state, the air smelled dirty, dust always floating around in the air. In fact, he remembered one time back in his old house one day around sunset. The sun was pouring through his office window and creating a huge light ray in that filled the entire room, but instead of being captured by the ray, he was only disgusted. When he would look directly at the ray of light, all he would see was massive amounts of dirt and dust floating in the air, and that's all Bryan would breathe while in Arizona. Dirty air.

But this was different in Japan. When he took a big whiff of the air, he didn't smell, or even taste a bit of dirt. The air was cool, crisp, and above all, clean. He was very happy with this fact.

Bryan became so enveloped by the fresh air, he almost didn't hear a horn violently honking at him. Bryan snapped back to reality to see a cab sitting a few feet from him. Bryan grabbed his bags and headed for the trunk of the cab, which the driver opened for him as he passed the cab. Bryan placed his things in the trunk. As he closed it though, it began to downpour, so he immediately ran to the passenger door and hopped into the cab just as he was about to become soaked by the rain.

"Hello there Mr. ...." The cab driver looked at a card sitting on the dash in front of him. "..Bryan... Moreyoo?"

Bryan sighed

"It's Moreau, pronounced 'More-O'. But don't worry, most people get it wrong the first time they say it." He replied with a sly smile.

"Also, sorry for keeping you up a minute ago. It's my first time in Japan and it's really beautiful here. I just got caught up in it I guess."

The driver laughed.

"It's no problem Mr. Moreau." He looked back at Bryan. "So where will I be taking you today."

Bryan fulled a card from his jean pocket and handed it to the driver. The card had the address of his new home on it.

"Alright, we should arrive there in about ten minutes." The driver said as he pulled away from the airport.

As they were driving, Bryan was in awe at how beautiful everything was. They drove by part of the city, which because of the rain, was glowing with various colors against the window. It was a magical moment for Bryan as he realized that this is where he was going to live. After the city was passed, they entered some sub-urbs which were lined with vast amounts of various buildings and homes, along with a whole bunch of full trees that would shadow everything if the sun was out.

"We're almost there." The cab driver said, once again snapping Bryan back to reality.

Not a second after saying that, he slowly eased the cab to a stop in front of a single story home. Bryan immediately recognized it as his house from the pictures he saw of it on the internet before he bought it. It looked a lot bigger in person, and way nicer.

"Thank you." Bryan said to him handing him a debit card to pay for the cab ride.

When Bryan lived back in Arizona, he took up various jobs to make ends meat where he lived, but he always made more than he needed. This meant that he had a large amount of money saved up in his bank account, which he had swapped over to a different bank before his move so he could more easily access his money. His parents money completely paid for the house, so he didn't have to make any payments on it, so all he had to really worry about was paying the utilities, but he had plenty of money to last him a while before he went out to look for his future career.

After the driver swiped the card into a little machine he handed it back over his shoulder to Bryan and popped the trunk.

"Have a nice day Mr. Moreau." He said to Bryan

"Thanks, you too" He replied stepping out of the cab. The rain had died down a bit, now it was just sprinkling again, so he wasn't drenched by it when he pulled his luggage from the trunk and closing it. He slapped the back of the cab and it sped off into the distance, leaving Bryan standing in front of his new house with a wide smile across his face.

"So this is it huh? My new home, in a new place... beginning a whole new life." He thought to himself.

He walked over to the front door of his new house and found the key to it under a rock right next to the door on the ground, just like the landlord had told him about over the phone in Arizona. When he opened the door he grabbed his bags and walked inside, lightly closing the door behind him.

Little did he know was that there was a mysterious little creature who watched him leave the cab and enter the house from a nearby tree. This creature was no more than two feet tall, had a white body with purple trim along its' feet, hands, and little ears. It also had wide green eyes and a strange dual triangle emblem right above its' eyes.

"Oh boy oh boy. Who might he be? Hoho, maybe someone who will play with me!" The little being said in a high pitched voice as his ears popped out of it's head and grew three times their original size.

"I have to tell the others about him!" It shouted before flying away from Bryan's house laughing up a storm of his own.
